From the 18th c. plan, 1 door is indicated leading into the great parlour at the W end and another door is opposite leading to a corridor at the E end.

The door in from the courtyard at the low end may be original. There is no way of knowing the location of other doors. Taylor's ground plan shows 2 doors in the screens passage leading to the kitchen and buttery.

There are 2 original doors at the high end located in the SE and SW corners formerly linking the hall with the great drawing room that once occupied the destroyed SE wing.

A double door leads into the hall from the low end passageway. A single door leads out of the chamber at the SE corner of the high end into the oak parlour.

Commentary
The screen at the S end contains 2 doors. Off the screens passage, the door at the E end leads up to the gallery and down to the kitchen. A door at the W end of the screens passage leads into another room.
