Commentary
E wall of the great hall with a view of the inner courtyard beyond. The inner courtyard of the Elizabethan house brought light into the rooms adjacent. A covered walkway on the S side led from the screens passage to the kitchen in the SE corner.

Commentary
Exterior view of the 4-light windows on the ground floor of the great hall and a similar central 4-light window above. The larger upper window with 4 lights on 2 levels illuminated the high end of the hall.
