Textual Description

The high end was located toward the W end of the converted abbey church, in reverse position from the former chancel. The fireplace is positioned near the dais and the allegorical plaster frieze celebrating Sir Richard Grenville's return from combat decorates the high end wall below the ornate plaster ceiling.
