Textual Description
The original Tudor entrance at the SW end of the guildhall is preserved but is no longer in use. There was originally a N door across from the S door and a passageway between, with the hall on 1 side and the priory kitchen on the other.
The small low door in the centre of the W wall leading into the town gaol area must be the original medieval doorway to the kitchen. A small door at the NE end, possibly original, leads into a corridor linking the hall with the old schoolhouse building.
