Commentary

Detail showing 2 bearbaiting and bullbaiting arenas in Southwark. It is possible that the western arena in this view is an artist's depiction of the first Bear Garden, approximately located.

Traditionally attributed to Ralph Agas, based on a ca. 1560 original copperplate view of London (most sections now lost).
