Elizabethan gatehouse

Commentary

The late 16th c. gatehouse bearing the Pole family crest faces NW, at some distance from the house. The gargoyles are probably recycled medieval stonework, perhaps from the older Bonville house. The structures on either side of the gatehouse are 19th c.
