The renovated stage was roughly the same size as the original one at 1262.62 square feet.
The yard was increased by 27%, which allowed space in the whole playhouse for approximately 2500 spectators. The thrust stage most significantly changed the available acting areas, allowing actors to address the audience on all 3 sides. In this iteration of the space, the yard measured 560 square feet.
The stage was given a full stage cover with an image of the heavens. The stage cover allowed for special effects, like flying scenery or allowing actors to descend from the ceiling.
The second stage was barely raked in comparison to the incline of the first. Of course, the stage cover necessitated pillars, which shifted sight lines as well. Therefore, the galleries were extended on the sides. It is likely that this stage had a trapdoor on the floor.
