Description / History (pre-1642)

The crown-post roof is still intact. Two royal coats of arms, probably early 16th c., remain on the wall above the panelling at the upper (W) end of the hall. A door at the SW corner of the high end, now blocked, led into a withdrawing chamber in the demolished section of the original building.
