The early 16th c. hall retains its period character although most of the furnishings are mid-17th c. or later. Entrance was direct from the courtyard at the low end of the hall rather than through a screens passage. The floor is of rough lime-ash composition.

The kitchen is in an adjacent wing entered through 1 of the service doors at the low end or via the kitchen court on the N side of the hall range.
