Ward of Thomas Courtenay, 13th Earl of Devon 16 Feb. 1441/2—7; imprisoned in the Fleet for debt 1472; attainted & lands forfeited 22 Sept. 1474, restored 6 Feb. 1474/5; Supporter (with son John Beaumont) of Yorkist pretender Lambert Simnel; order for arrest 8 Feb. 1486/7; at Simnel's coronation in Dublin 24 May 1487; poss. with Simnel's army which landed at Furness, Lanc 4 June 1487 & which was defeated in battle at Stoke on Trent 16 June 1487; attainted 11 Nov. 1487; fled to Ireland and died in exile
