Notes

Notes:

A decree concerning players notes that players (including those of the King, Queen, Prince and nobles) have traditionally been permitted to perform in Hythe by town officials with a limitation on the number of plays and with no performances permitted on Sunday. However, players have violated these limitations, so the decree stipulates that if the King's, Queen's or Prince's players come to Hythe they shall be allowed to perform 3 plays at most and will be given annually 10 s. if they forbear to perform. Players of nobles will be allowed to perform 2 plays at most. Townspeople who host or attend performances forbidden by town officials will be fined
