An entry from Thomas Crosfield's Diary. He reports that the King's Revels (which he calls the Company of Salisbury Court) came to Oxford with 14 plays and lodged at the King's Arms, 'where [Thomas] Franklin [the innkeeper] hath about 3 li. [pounds] a day while they stay, ie, for every play 4 nobles [1 noble=6s 8d] besides the benefits of seats.' The Revels members are given as [Richard] Gunnell, John Young, Edward Gibbs, Timothy Reade, Christopher Goad, Samuel Thompson, George Stutville, John Robinson, Curtis Greville, Richard Kendal, Anthony Dover, etc.
