A 10 June 1590 entry in the Mayors' Court Book notes that John Mufford, one of Lord Beauchamp's players, has been imprisioned since the the troupe had been forbidden to and paid not to play, 'and yet notwithstanding they did set up bills to provoke men to come to their play and did play in Christ Church.'
