Thomas Owers was a commoner who appears to have operated an inn or victualling house in New Romney. Payments for meals and refreshments at his establishment are recorded between 1520--1 and 1525--6.
A payment for expenses of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports' minstrel was made at Owers' in 1524--5. The minstrel may also have performed at Owers' establishment.
