Ludlow's first town hall or 'New House' was located on the site of the present Butter Cross in the centre of the marketplace at the Bull Ring end.

The town hall was the most likely venue for performances before the mayor after 1575 unless otherwise specified.

Demolished.
History of the Venue
ca. 1566--74 First town hall built.
1742--4 Demolished and replaced by the present Butter Cross building, according to William Baker's neoclassical design.
