Minstrels may have continued to perform under his name for several years after his death, perhaps patronised by his widow Alice (d 1448), and/or 'Walter' may be a scribal error for Tailboys' son William (ca. 1415--ca. 26 May 1464), called 'esquire,' but generally styled 'Earl of Kyme'
