The remains of 3 doors can be seen: a central service door led into the buttery at the low end, another at the SW corner led into the passage to the kitchen block and a third at the NW corner led to a staircase to the exterior of the hall and possibly the curtain wall beyond. The solar above the service room must have been accessed by a staircase though its location is uncertain.
