History of the Venue

Seat of Humphrey Stafford, 1429-69

E wing (15th c.) demolished c. 1965 (only its plinth moulding survives), leaving only the 17th c. south wing. The only remaining 15th c. work is the
perpendicular canopy-work built into the south wall.
