Overview

Located ... little has been discovered about the ancient family seat of the Bourne family. [located where in Kent? Diocese of Rochester]

An 18th c. house known as Bourne Place stands on the site of the original house.

Performance History

A late 15th c. record survives for a payment to Sir William Haute's minstrel in Dover. Although family records have not been found for the period, it is likely that his minstrel would have performed at his residence.
