Commentary:
At the low end, the E door leads into the oak-panelled council chamber where there is some original glass salvaged from the E windows of the hall and the famous mid-15th c. guild chair. The chamber was restored in 1933, with oak panelling and floor installed from other city buildings.
The council chamber is 20'4" x 13'11".
