Textual Description:
'This manor of Coplestone, anciently the demesne and residence of the great Coplestone, is now divided into several little farms; and scarcely are there any remains at present of a mansion-house, heretofore so noted for one of the first in the county. Here were a chapel, a mint, a prison, and lodge, now all destroyed.'
