The upper level hall is accessed through a small door and up a set of internal wooden stairs. The dimensions of the hall have remained the same since the mid-16th c. It is a 2-bay structure with a pitched roof supported by a main tie-beam, arch braces and a crown-post construction.
The panelling and dais canopy on the high end wall are Tudor, while the rest of the room is whitewashed plaster and beam. There are original double 2-light windows on either side of the high end and another set at the centre of the low end wall. Original furnishings include the mayor's seat, jurors' bench and table.
In the SW corner is a small 8' x 7' retiring room partitioned off at some point for jurors to confer.
