The hall has 4 bays, the largest being at the upper (W) end. The roof, with 3 original carved bosses, is made of oak from Sherwood Forest. Carved and painted plaster corbels of a later date support the tie beams.
The panelling and pair of 2-light sash windows on the N and S walls of the hall were part of the Georgian renovation. A large oak door at the SE end is the main entrance into the hall. A second door at the SW end leads into an inner chamber at the high end. Neither door is original.
