William Baker the younger was a common baker and brewer living on the Bayle. He possibly maintained an inn or tavern. He was a churchwarden in 1542--3, town warden in 1543--4, churchwarden again in 1546--7, and mayor in 1548--9.
A possible performance venue. Payments are recorded to the Duke of Suffolk's Players and the Earl of Hertford's Minstrels in 1541-2.
