Located next to the parish church in Ulcombe with a S view over the Weald, the present ragstone Ulcombe Place may stand on the site of the medieval manor house of the St Leger family. Little has been discovered about the original house.
A probable performance venue. No St Leger household records have been discovered but entertainers under the family patronage performed elsewhere in the south in the 16th c.
