- Liverpool Record Office & Local History Library, Central Library, Liverpool Playbill (Concert Hall) - May 28, 1847:Info in Record:
- Performance Type: Vocal Entertainment
 - Performers Listed: “Mr. Brough,” “assisted by Miss Balfe, (sister to the Celebrated Composer,) and Sig. Sapio. Mr. H.F. Aldridge will preside at the Piano-forte”
 - Days & Times: “Friday Evening, May 28, 1847”
 - Venue Name: “Concert Hall, Lord Nelson Street”
 - Program Info: “A Musical Lecture on America and the Americans,” including several items not clearly connected to minstrelsy/race (see attached document scan), plus: “Song – Rosin the Bow” (9th – and final – act in Part 1, Performed by Mr. Brough), and “Negro Lament – ‘I’m going to Texa, far away’” (6th act in Part 2, performed by Balfe, Sapio & Brough). Each relevant seems to be introduced by an address also related to American slave culture. The final item on the bill (“Finale – ‘Long time ago’”; performed by Brough) also seems to be introduced by something listed as “Negro Music – not original – Lucy Neal adapted from La Petite Tambour,” so it might also be relevant (unclear)
