Events featuring American performers that were recorded in The Brighton Herald, The Bristol Gazette, The Bristol Journal, The Bristol Mercury, The Bristol Mirror, The Bristol Times, The Era, The Newcastle Advertiser, The Newcastle Chronicle, The Sheffield Iris and Theatrical Journal in 1845. - January 8-10: Tom Thumb gives “Levees” three times daily at the Town Hall, Brighton.
- February 6-8: Tom Thumb performs at the Assembly Rooms, Prince’s Street, Bristol.
- February 8: Tom Thumb also appears on the variety bill at the Theatre Royal, Bristol.
- February 25: Henry Russell gives a concert at the Music Hall, Newcastle.
- c. March 24-29: The “American actor”, Mr. Marble, appears in ‘The Game Cock of the Wilderness’ at the Olympic Theatre, London.
- April 8-9:Vocal Entertainments by Henry Russell at the Town Hall, Brighton
- April 14, 15, 18:Edwin Forest, “the celebrated American tragedian” performs (in ‘King Lear’ and ‘The Gladiator’, amongst other pieces) at the Theatre Royal, Bristol.
- April 19:Edwin Forest appears in Bath
- May 12 & 14:Vocal Entertainments by Henry Russell at the Theatre Royal, Sheffield.
- Summer: Canfield, “The American Samson” participates in a Persian ballet at Vauxhall Gardens, London.
- September 10: Vocal Entertainment by the Hutchinson Family at the Concert Hall, Lord Nelson Street, Liverpool.
- c. October 6-11: Performances by “The American Sampson” at the Royal Pavilion Theatre, London.
- October 28: Henry Russell gives a concert at the Music Hall, Newcastle.
- c. November 3-15: W.O. Dale (an American equestrian) participates in Cooke’s Circus Royal (at the Amphitheatre, Bristol)
- December 1 & 2: Vocal entertainments by Henry Russell at the Music Hall, Newcastle.
- c. December 3-18: “The Wonderful American Family” performs “Olympic gambols” between the parts of M. Phillippe’s magic act at the Theatre Royal, Bristol.
- December 29-30: Tom Thumb holds 3 “farewell levees” daily at the Music Hall, Newcastle.
- December 30: Tom Thumb is amongst the acts on the bill at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle.
