      "From 1848 to 1862 the Riding School opposite St Paul's church was known as the Theatre Royal. It had a number of name changes over the years being the Hippodrome, Tudor and Essoldo. In 1862 the premises were sold to the West Yorkshire Rifles as a drill hall
      It is now a public house.
