"1793 - Arthur Street Theatre. Michael Atkins. Closed 1793-4. Closed 1797-1799. 1840s became Theatre Royal. Replaced and rebuilt in 1871. Burnt down in 1881. Rebuilt late 1881. (Architect: C. J. Phipps). Became Royal Cinema 1916. Closed & demolished in 1961. Now site of shops".
