Nothing so hard in nature as faith is,<\/span>2<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\n<\/span>For<\/span>3<\/sup><\/a><\/span> to believe impossibilities\u2014
\n<\/span>Not that they\u2019re not,<\/span>4<\/sup><\/a><\/span> but that they do not clear<\/span>5<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\n<\/span>Unto our reason and to sense appear.<\/span>6<\/sup><\/a><\/span> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/span>For reason cannot find them out, since they<\/span>7<\/sup><\/a><\/span> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a05
\n<\/span>Seem wrought beyond all Nature\u2019s course and way.<\/span>8<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\n<\/span>For<\/span>9<\/sup><\/a><\/span> many things our senses dull may scape,<\/span>10<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\n<\/span>For they\u2019re too gross to know each form and<\/span>11<\/sup><\/a><\/span> shape.
\n<\/span>So in this world another world<\/span>12<\/sup><\/a><\/span> may be,
\n<\/span>Which<\/span>13<\/sup><\/a><\/span> we do neither touch, taste, smell, hear, see.<\/span>14<\/sup><\/a><\/span> \u00a0 10
\n<\/span>What eye so clear is, yet did ever see<\/span>15<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\n<\/span>Those little hooks that in the loadstone be,<\/span>16<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\n<\/span>Which draw hard iron, or give reasons why<\/span>17<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\n<\/span>The needle\u2019s point still in the north will lie?
\n<\/span>As for example, atoms in the air \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span> 15
\n<\/span>We ne\u2019er perceive, although the light be fair.
\n<\/span>And<\/span>18<\/sup><\/a><\/span> whatsoever can a body claim,
\n<\/span>Though ne\u2019er so small, life may be in the same.
\n<\/span>And what has<\/span>19<\/sup><\/a><\/span> life may understanding have,
\n<\/span>Though\u2019t<\/span>20<\/sup><\/a><\/span> be to us as buried in the<\/span>21<\/sup><\/a><\/span> grave. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a020
\n<\/span>Then probably may men and women small,
\n<\/span>Live in the world, which we know not<\/span>22<\/sup><\/a><\/span> at all,
\n<\/span>May build them houses to dwell in, and make<\/span>23<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\n<\/span>Orchards and gardens,<\/span>24<\/sup><\/a><\/span> where they pleasure take,
\n<\/span>Have<\/span>25<\/sup><\/a><\/span> birds which sing, and cattle in the field, \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a025
\n<\/span>May plow and sow, and there<\/span>26<\/sup><\/a><\/span> small corn may yield;
\n<\/span>They may have commonwealths,<\/span>27<\/sup><\/a><\/span> and kings to reign,
\n<\/span>Make wars and battles, where are many<\/span>28<\/sup><\/a><\/span> slain,
\n<\/span>And all without our hearing, or our sight,

\n<\/span>Which our dull eyes shall never come to see.
\n<\/span>But we are apt to laugh at tales so told:
\n<\/span>Thus senses gross do back our reason<\/span>32<\/sup><\/a><\/span> hold.
\n<\/span>Yet things which are \u2019gainst nature we think<\/span>33<\/sup><\/a><\/span> true, \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a035
\n<\/span>That spirits change and can take bodies new,
\n<\/span>That life may be, yet in no body live,
\n<\/span>For which no sense nor reason we can give.
\n<\/span>As<\/span>34<\/sup><\/a><\/span> incorporeal spirits this fancy<\/span>35<\/sup><\/a><\/span> feigns,
