Although we at a distance stand, if great
\n<\/span>A fire be, the body through <\/span>will<\/span><\/span>1<\/sup><\/a><\/span> heat.
\n<\/span>Yet those sharp atomes we do not perceive,
\n<\/span>How they fly out, nor how to us they<\/span>2<\/sup><\/a><\/span> cleave.
\n<\/span>Nor do they<\/span>3<\/sup><\/a><\/span> flame, nor shine they clear and bright \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span> 5
\n<\/span>When they fly out and on our bodies strike.<\/span>4<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\n<\/span>The reason is they loose and scattered fly,
\n<\/span>And not in troops, nor do they on heaps lie.
\n<\/span>Like small dust rais\u2019d, which,<\/span>5<\/sup><\/a><\/span> scatter\u2019d all about,

\n<\/span>Just so do atoms sharp look, clear and bright,
