I language want to dress my fancies in;
\nThe hair\u2019s uncurled, the garments loose and thin.
\nHad they but silver lace to make them gay
\nThey\u2019d<\/span>2<\/sup><\/a><\/span> be more courted than in poor array,
\nOr had they art, would<\/span>3<\/sup><\/a><\/span> make a better show.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 5
\nBut they are plain; yet cleanly do they go.
\nThe world in bravery doth take delight,
\nAnd glist\u2019ring<\/span>4<\/sup><\/a><\/span> shows do more attract the sight,
\nFor<\/span>5<\/sup><\/a><\/span> everyone doth honor a rich hood,

\nAnd everyone doth bow and give the place

\nLet me entreat in<\/span>7<\/sup><\/a><\/span> my poor book\u2019s behalf,
\nThat all may not adore the golden calf.

\nAnd life in nature is the richest thing.
\nSo fancy is the soul in poetry,
\nAnd if not good, the<\/span>9<\/sup><\/a><\/span> poem ill must be.
\nBe just, let fancy have the upper place,
