\nWere above half into their<\/span>3<\/sup><\/a><\/span> bodies thrust,
\nFrom whence fresh streams of blood run all along<\/span>4<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\nUnto the hilts, and there lay clodded on.
\nSome, their legs dangling<\/span>5<\/sup><\/a><\/span> by the nervous strings,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 5
\nAnd shoulders cut, hung loose like flying wings.
\nHeads here were cleft in pieces,<\/span>6<\/sup><\/a><\/span> brains lay<\/span>7<\/sup><\/a><\/span> mashed,
\nAnd all their faces into slices hashed.
\nBrains only in the pia mater thin,

\nTheir skulls all broke and into pieces burst,

\nFor the small nerves were shrunk on every side.<\/span>18<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
