The sweat of th\u2019Earth through porous holes<\/span>1<\/sup><\/a><\/span> doth pass,
\nWhich<\/span>2<\/sup><\/a><\/span> is the dew that lies upon the grass,
\nWhich<\/span>3<\/sup><\/a><\/span> (like a lover kind) the Sun wipes clean,
\nThat her fair face may to the light be seen.
\nThis water for her sake he so<\/span>4<\/sup><\/a><\/span> esteems, \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 5
\nThat all the<\/span>5<\/sup><\/a><\/span> drops upon his silver beams
\nHe threads, like ropes of pearls, which<\/span>6<\/sup><\/a><\/span> to his sphere
\nHe draws and turns<\/span>7<\/sup><\/a><\/span> to crystal, when they\u2019re there.
\nYet,what he gathers, he cannot<\/span>8<\/sup><\/a><\/span> keep all,
\nBut of those drops, some down again<\/span>9<\/sup><\/a><\/span> do fall,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 10
\nAnd then, when they upon her head do<\/span>10<\/sup><\/a><\/span> run,
\nHe clouds his brows, as if he ill had<\/span>11<\/sup><\/a><\/span> done.
\nFor<\/span>12<\/sup><\/a><\/span> lovers think they always do amiss,
\nAlthough those showers<\/span>13<\/sup><\/a><\/span> her refreshment is.
\nWhen she by sweat exhausted grows, and dry,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 15
\nThen doth the Sun moist clouds squeeze in the<\/span>14<\/sup><\/a><\/span> sky,
\nOr else he takes some of his sharpest beams
\nAnd breaks<\/span>15<\/sup><\/a><\/span> the clouds, from whence pour crystal streams.
