Give me that<\/span>2<\/sup><\/a><\/span> wit whose fancy\u2019s not confined,
\nThat buildeth on itself, with no brain<\/span>3<\/sup><\/a><\/span> joined,
\nNot like two<\/span>4<\/sup><\/a><\/span> oxen yoked, and forced to draw,
\nOr like two witnesses t\u2019one<\/span>5<\/sup><\/a><\/span> deed in law,
\nBut like the sun, that needs no help to rise,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 5
\nOr like a bird in<\/span>6<\/sup><\/a><\/span> air which freely flies.
\nFor good wits run like parallels<\/span>7<\/sup><\/a><\/span> in length,
\nNeed no triang\u2019lar<\/span>8<\/sup><\/a><\/span> points to give them<\/span>9<\/sup><\/a><\/span> strength.
\nOr like the sea, which runneth round without,
\nAnd grasps the Earth with twining arms about.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 10
\nThus true-born wits to others strength may give,
\nYet by their<\/span>10<\/sup><\/a><\/span> own, and not by others live.<\/p>\n

Those verses still to me do seem the best<\/span>11<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\nWhere lines run smooth, and wit\u2019s with ease<\/span>12<\/sup><\/a><\/span> expressed,
\nWhere fancies flow, as gentle waters glide,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 15
\nAnd<\/span>13<\/sup><\/a><\/span> flow\u2019ry banks of rhet\u2019ric on<\/span>14<\/sup><\/a><\/span> each side,
\nThat when they read, delight may them invite<\/span>15<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\nTo read again, and wish<\/span>16<\/sup><\/a><\/span> they could so write.
\nFor verses should,<\/span>17<\/sup><\/a><\/span> like to a beauteous face,
