The spider\u2019s housewif\u2019ry no webs doth spin
\nTo make her cloth, but ropes to hang flies in.
\nHer bowels are the shop where flax is found;
\nHer body is the wheel that goeth round.
\nA wall her<\/span>2<\/sup><\/a><\/span> distaff, where she sticks thread on;<\/span>3<\/sup><\/a><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 5
\nThe fingers are the feet that pull it long.<\/span>4<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\nShe\u2019s busy at all times, not idle lies;<\/span>5<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\nA house she builds with nets to catch the flies.<\/span>6<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\nThough it be not so strong as brick and stone,

\nWithin this house the female spider lies,
\nThe whilst the male doth hunt abroad for flies.
