In Nature\u2019s wardrobe there hangs up great store
\nOf several garments; some are rich, some poor.
\nSome, made on<\/span>1<\/sup><\/a><\/span> beauty\u2019s<\/span>2<\/sup><\/a><\/span> stuff, with smiles are<\/span>3<\/sup><\/a><\/span> laced;
\nWith lovely favor is the outside faced.
\nSome fresh and new by sicknesses are<\/span>4<\/sup><\/a><\/span> rent,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 5
\nNot taking any care them<\/span>5<\/sup><\/a><\/span> to prevent.
\nBut physic and good diet had<\/span>6<\/sup><\/a><\/span> again
\nSewed up the slits, that none did yet<\/span>7<\/sup><\/a><\/span> remain.
\nSome worn so bare with age, that none could see
\nWhat stuff\u2019t<\/span>8<\/sup><\/a><\/span> had been, or what it yet might<\/span>9<\/sup><\/a><\/span> be.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 10
\nOthers were so ill-shaped, their<\/span>10<\/sup><\/a><\/span> stuff so coarse,
\nThat<\/span>11<\/sup><\/a><\/span> none would wear unless it were by force.<\/span>12<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\nAnd several mantles Nature made were there,
\nTo keep her creatures warm from the cold air.
\nAs sables, martins,<\/span>13<\/sup><\/a><\/span> and the fox that\u2019s black,<\/span>14<\/sup><\/a><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 15
\nThe powdered ermines, and the fierce wild cat.<\/span>15<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\nMost of her creatures she hath clad in fur,
\nWhich need<\/span>16<\/sup><\/a><\/span> no fire, if they do<\/span>17<\/sup><\/a><\/span> but stir.
\nAnd some in wool she clads, as well as hair,
\nAnd some in scales; others do feathers wear.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 20
\nBut man, his skin she made<\/span>18<\/sup><\/a><\/span> so smooth and fair,
\nIt needs no feathers,<\/span>19<\/sup><\/a><\/span> scales, wool, nor hair.
\nThe outside of all things Nature keeps here<\/span>20<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\nFor several creatures, which<\/span>21<\/sup><\/a><\/span> she makes to<\/span>22<\/sup><\/a><\/span> wear.
\nDeath pulls them off, Life puts them on, but Nature<\/span>23<\/sup><\/a><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 25
\nTakes care to fit each garment for each creature.<\/span>24<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\nNature hath but two sorts of stuffs<\/span>25<\/sup><\/a><\/span> whereon<\/span>26<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\nAll garments are made that Life puts on.<\/span>27<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\nBut yet these of such several fashions are,<\/span>28<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
