A sad and solemn verse doth please the mind,
\nWith chains of passions doth the spirits bind.
\nAs pencilled pictures drawn present<\/span>2<\/sup><\/a><\/span> the night,
\nWhose darker shadows give the eye delight,
\nMelancholy aspects invite<\/span>3<\/sup><\/a><\/span> the eye, \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 5
\nAnd always have<\/span>4<\/sup><\/a><\/span> a seeming majesty.
\nBy its converting qualities, there grows
\nA perfect likeness, when itself it shows.
\nThen let the world in mourning sit, and weep,

\nWhich shows that sadness mirth doth far excel.

\nThe grave, though sad, in quiet still they keep;
