\nWhen man<\/span>4<\/sup><\/a><\/span> is injured, and his honor stung,<\/span>5<\/sup><\/a><\/span>
\nHe seems a lion, furious, fierce, and strong.
\nWith greedy covetousness, like to<\/span>6<\/sup><\/a><\/span> wolves and bears,\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 5
\nRight he devours,<\/span>7<\/sup><\/a><\/span> and truth in pieces tears.
\nOr like as crafty foxes lie in wait
\nTo catch young novice kids<\/span>8<\/sup><\/a><\/span> by their deceit,
\nSo subtle knaves do watch who errors<\/span>9<\/sup><\/a><\/span> make,

\nNot for examples them to rectify,
\nBut that much mischief they can make thereby.
\nOthers, like crouching spaniels, close will set,
\nCreeping about the partridge to in-net.
\nSome humble seem, and lowly bend the knee\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 15
\nTo men of<\/span>11<\/sup><\/a><\/span> power and authority,
\nNot out of love to honor and<\/span>12<\/sup><\/a><\/span> renown,
\nBut to ensnare, and so to pull them down.

\nAnd in their eyes such courage doth appear,

\nAnd though he cannot fly as birds, with wings,
