Joy
\n<\/strong>Give me some music, that my spirits may
\nDance a free<\/span>1<\/sup><\/a><\/span> galliard whilst delight doth play.
\nLet every voice sing out, both loud and shrill,
\nAnd every tongue to run<\/span>2<\/sup><\/a><\/span> what way it will.
\nFor Fear is gone away with her pale face,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 5
\nAnd pain is banished out from<\/span>3<\/sup><\/a><\/span> every place.<\/p>\n

Discretion
\n<\/strong>O Joy,<\/span>4<\/sup><\/a><\/span> take moderation by the hand,
\nOr else you\u2019ll fall<\/span>5<\/sup><\/a><\/span> so drunk you cannot<\/span>6<\/sup><\/a><\/span> stand.
\nYour tongue doth run so fast, no time can keep;
\nHigh as a mountain, many words you heap.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 10
\nYour thoughts in multitudes the brain do throng,
\nThat reason is cast down and trod upon.<\/span>7<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Joy
\n<\/strong>O wise Discretion,<\/span>8<\/sup><\/a><\/span> do not angry grow;
\nGreat dangers, fears, alas,<\/span>9<\/sup><\/a><\/span> you do not know.
\nFear<\/span>10<\/sup><\/a><\/span> being past, the spirits soon<\/span>11<\/sup><\/a><\/span> are slacked;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 15
\nFear, being<\/span>12<\/sup><\/a><\/span> a string, binds hard, but when once<\/span>13<\/sup><\/a><\/span> cracked
\nSpirits find<\/span>14<\/sup><\/a><\/span> liberty, and<\/span>15<\/sup><\/a><\/span> run about,
\nWhich,<\/span>16<\/sup><\/a><\/span> being stopped, do<\/span>17<\/sup><\/a><\/span> suddenly burst out,
\nAnd to recover what they had before,
\nWhen<\/span>18<\/sup><\/a><\/span> once untied, take liberty the<\/span>19<\/sup><\/a><\/span> more.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 20
\nLike water which was<\/span>20<\/sup><\/a><\/span> pent, then<\/span>21<\/sup><\/a><\/span> passage finds,
\nBreaks out in<\/span>22<\/sup><\/a><\/span> fury like the northern winds.
\nWhat gathers on a heap so strong doth grow,
\nThat when \u2019tis loose, it doth far swifter<\/span>23<\/sup><\/a><\/span> go.
\nBut dear Discretion, do not with me<\/span>24<\/sup><\/a><\/span> scold;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 25
\nWhilst you do feel great fears, your tongue pray hold.
\nFor Joy cannot contain itself in rest;
