The Ontario Censor Board made the following changes for local screenings of this film:

  • on Reel I-II, cut a short exchange between Dinah and Margaret. DINAH: "This stinks." MARGARET: "Don't say stinks, darling. If absolutely necessary 'Smells', but only if absolutely necessary." DINAH: "But don't you think it's stinking not at least to want father?" MARGARET: "Yes, darling. Between ourselves, I think it's good and stinking."
  • on Reel III-IV, cut Tracy's line: "Only in bed, mother, and not always there."
  • on Reel V-VI, cut out the view of Elizabeth being pinched by Uncle Willie
  • on Reel VII-VIII, cut out the second view of Macaulay and Tracy kissing.
