The Ontario Board of Censors made the following cuts for local screenings:

  • on Reel III, Madame Florence's line: "If you have anything in you I can bring it out."
  • on Reel IV, the view of Withers beckoning Madame Florence to the bedroom, and her reply
  • also on Reel IV, the view of a nurse trying to take off George's trousers
  • on Reel V, the doctor's line: "What do you feed on, carroway seeds?"
  • on Reel VII, the view of a monkey scratching a woman's posterior
  • on Reel VIII, George's line: "When I was a child, I swallowed a penny. My mother gave me castor oil and received her penny back."
  • on Reel IX, the view of George thumbing his nose while riding in a cab
