Italian Program Publications

Since its inception in 1967, Italian Studies (part of the Department of Language Studies) has adopted innovative classroom methods and research as the two pillars of its teaching practice. It has encouraged personal initiatives but has equally supported collaboration with other intellectual institutions and community organizations, on- and off-campus, in accordance with the University’s academic criteria.

The story of Italian at UTM also illustrates a long tradition of experiential learning as well as a keen interest in maintaining frequent interaction between faculty and students. The publications produced here within—the Open Textbook and Gastronomy Conference Proceedings, are the successful outcomes of such collaborations.
